Has your business been affected by the recent Tasmanian bushfires?

The Tasmanian Government has announced three new grant programs to support local businesses affected by bushfires.

These grants will provide funding to support eligible Tasmanian businesses who have experienced significant disruption to the day-to-day running of their business, as a result of the recent bushfires.

  • The Bushfire Business Disruption Grant
  • The Bushfire Recovery Grant
  • A Concessional Business Recovery Loan Scheme

Eligible businesses in the Huon Valley, Central Highlands, West Coast, and Derwent Valley areas will be apply for Bushfire Business Disruption Grants immediately, with access to Bushfire Recovery Grants and the Concessional Business Recovery Loan Scheme available soon.

Designed to assist with covering immediate operating costs and downturn in trading, the Bushfire Business Disruption Grant allows eligible businesses to access up to $2,000 to support businesses in recovery.

Small to medium sized enterprises will soon be able to access up to $25,000 through the Bushfire Recovery Grant, to assist with irrecoverable losses extending to loss of crops, forests, assets and stock.

Jointly funded by the Commonwealth and Tasmanian Governments, the soon to be established Concessional Business Recovery Loan Scheme will allow small business and farm owners to access loans of up to $100,000 to assist with re-establishment after the bushfires.

These grants will assist local businesses while the Tasmanian Government continues to work on further recovery and assistance measures.
