Becky Turner Style

Congratulations to our apprentice Becky Turner of CAJ Hair and Beauty Studio. Her hard work has seen her take the victory in the recent TasTAFE World Skills competition!

Becky began her MAS Experience at CAJ Hair and Beauty Studio in the small Tasmanian town of Moonah. After delivering promising results in the salon, Becky jumped at the opportunity to compete with others at her level in the industry. She got this chance at the World Skills competition in October last year, where she went on to take out first place.

World Skills Australia

The World Skills Australia competition showcases the best of Australia’s future tradies. Regional events are held throughout the year across a range of trades. The winners of these events then get the chance to show their skills at the national competition.

TasTAFE World Skills Comp

TasTAFE held their event locally with the intention of finding the most talented young hairdressers Tasmania has to offer. The day welcomes all local hairdressing apprentices to test their skills in a variety of different cuts and colours. Other trades also participate in the Worlds Skills Australia event with training organisations running a variety of regional competitions all over the nation.

Becky’s Success

Finally, in reward for her efforts, Becky will get to compete in the national championships in Sydney in June 2018. There she will compete with respective winners of other participating regions. The winner of the National competition will be granted the opportunity to represent Australia in the world championships in Russia; so we are all wishing Becky the best!
