Jenny’s success with the MAS Experience

As our Gateway services have increased in uptake we have and will continue to, emphasise the continual improvement of the program’s processes. We believe the tools we have are fit for use, however strive to continually review and improve the use of these tools to ensure we are utilising them effectively to achieve maximum success.

Recently a Jobactive provider referred one of their long term unemployed clients Jenny, to our Gateway service hoping we could assist in finding her an opportunity to commence an apprenticeship in Automotive.  Jenny instantly impressed us with her positive attitude, presentation and drive to break into this industry and after working through our face-to-face Gateway consultation it was determined Jenny was job ready and suited her desired career goal so we decided to reverse market Jenny to one of our long term employers.

Geoff Reynolds, Training Manager of Motors, who traditionally does all his own recruitment agreed to provide us with the criteria for their apprentices and requested that we send through any suitable resumes of applicants for their 2016 commencement positions. Jenny’s resume was forwarded and we were so happy late last week to be greeted by Jenny in our office with a great big smile and news that she had been offered a position in the Motors Launceston Service Department.
